Our philosophy
We believe every child deserves a warm, joyful, and supportive learning environment where they can grow with confidence.
For over 35 years, Sunshine has served children with disabilities throughout New York City by offering specialized preschool programs and therapeutic services designed to support each child’s overall development. We believe that learning should feel safe, engaging, and meaningful, with hands-on experiences that encourage independence, curiosity, problem-solving, and a love of school. Our classrooms are structured yet nurturing, allowing children to build important academic, social, emotional, fine motor, and gross motor skills through developmentally appropriate activities. Just as importantly, we view families as essential partners in each child’s success. By working closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, and therapists, Sunshine creates a team-centered approach that supports the whole child and helps each student reach their fullest potential.
